Upgrade Recommendations
If I were building a brand-new 701 Enduro, my shopping list would look like this:
✅ Shorty Brake & Clutch Levers (better control and comfort)
✅ Clutch Slave Cylinder (reliability first)
✅ Adjustable Side Stand (works with suspension and luggage changes)
✅ Fuel Tank Filler Neck Cap (everyday convenience)
✅ Rear Luggage Rack (adventure-ready versatility)
These five upgrades don't add horsepower—but they make the bike noticeably more reliable, easier to ride, and better prepared for everything from local trail rides to multi-day adventures. That's why they're among the first modifications many 701 owners choose before moving on to exhausts, intake systems, or ECU tuning.
The Husqvarna 701 is already one of the roomiest dual-sport bikes, but riders over 6 ft (183 cm) often find the stock ergonomics a bit cramped—especially on long rides or when standing off-road.
Here are the upgrades that make the biggest difference:
If you're looking for a simple way to improve both rider comfort and everyday usability, a lowered foot peg and adjustable kickstand kit is an excellent place to start.
It allows you to:
Increase legroom with 20 mm lower foot pegs;
Improve comfort for taller riders on long rides;
Create a more natural standing position off-road;
Fine-tune the bike's parking angle with a 4-position adjustable kickstand.
For many Husqvarna 701 owners, this combination delivers one of the biggest ergonomic improvements without changing the bike's handling.
The best luggage setup depends on how you ride, but for most Husqvarna 701 Enduro owners, a rear luggage rack combined with rackless soft luggage offers the best balance of weight, durability, and off-road performance.
A good setup typically includes:
Rear luggage rack – Provides a stable platform for tail bags, dry bags, camping gear, or extra fuel.
Rackless luggage system – Keeps weight close to the bike while reducing overall bulk.
Small tank bag – Ideal for frequently used items like your phone, wallet, and tools.
Tool roll or fender bag – Perfect for tire repair kits and essential trail tools.
A well-designed luggage rack should:
Support both rackless and traditional luggage systems
Include multiple tie-down points for straps and bungee cords
Be compatible with popular luggage brands
Provide mounting options for fuel or water storage
Double as a sturdy grab handle when moving or lifting the bike
The NICECNC Rear Luggage Top Rack is designed with exactly these needs in mind. It features pre-drilled mounting points for many of the most popular adventure luggage systems, including:
Mosko Moto Reckless Series
Kriega OS-Base & US Drypacks
Enduristan Blizzard XL
Giant Loop Mojavi & Great Basin
Mosko Moto Gnoblin
RotopaX 1-Gallon Fuel or Water Mount
Its lightweight aluminum construction and multiple attachment slots make it equally suitable for weekend trail rides, extended adventure travel, or everyday commuting.
For most 701 owners, a rear rack + 20–40 L rackless luggage system is the sweet spot. It keeps the bike narrow and agile off-road while providing enough storage for camping gear, tools, spare clothing, and daily essentials. This combination is one of the most common setups seen on long-distance Husqvarna 701 adventure builds.
Fitment
Most of our CNC billet parts for Husqvarna 701 are designed to fit both Enduro and Supermoto across various model years, as they share the same base platform. However, certain components (like kickstand tip or specific brake disc guard) may vary. Please check the "Fitment" section on each individual product page to confirm compatibility with your specific model year.
