FAQ
Seat Height / Ergonomics
The most balanced approach is pairing a 1" rear suspension lowering link with a lowered footpeg bracket set, rather than lowering the seat alone.
NICECNC's Rear Suspension 1" Lowering Link Kit (OEM 62641-32E00) drops the rear by 25mm using CNC-machined 6061 aluminum, designed to maintain stable suspension geometry rather than just dropping ride height. Combined with lowered footpeg brackets, riders typically see their reach-to-ground improve without a major hit to cornering clearance.
Yes — lowering the pegs changes your foot's relationship to the stock brake pedal position. NICECNC's Adjustable Dual Control Rear Brake Pedal Lever lowers 1" (25.4mm) and its tip slides across 5 positions, and is specifically designed to pair with NICECNC's peg lowering mounts so brake reach stays natural whether you're sitting or standing.
Protection Upgrades
The two most common additions are a front skid plate and a radiator/oil cooler guard. NICECNC's Front Skid Plate is 3mm-thick aluminum, covering the engine base and linkage area from rock strikes without requiring any bike modification. The Radiator Guard shield the cooling system from debris.
Frame sliders are worth adding for riders who deal with gravel, sand, or technical trails where low-speed tip-overs are common. NICECNC's Frame Sliders use 6061-T6 aluminum combined with wear-resistant POM plastic to absorb impact and prevent the engine case from scraping the ground directly in a fall.
ADV/Long Rides
A rear luggage rack is usually the first addition. NICECNC's Rear Luggage Top Rack is CNC-machined from 6mm-thick aluminum with 26 tie-down holes for securing soft bags or dry bags, and is compatible with Givi Trekker, SW-Motech, and Kriega OS side cases. It also has pre-drilled mounting holes for RotopaX fuel or water containers, making it a common base for building out a full touring luggage setup.
The stock oil filter cover has minimal surface area, so it doesn't dissipate heat efficiently — on long highway stretches or in hot climates, this can push oil temps higher than ideal, gradually shortening oil life. A finned heat-sink cover addresses this by adding extra fin surface area to pull heat away faster. NICECNC's version is CNC-machined from anodized 6061-T6 aluminum and is a common low-cost swap riders add alongside other engine protection upgrades.
